This guide’s main purpose is to introduce a device that will aid in recording HDMI output from whichever sources you have. This is particularly helpful for recording 1080p footage from say the Playstation 3 (PS3). The “only” way to record PS3 footage is through component cables and while that provides pretty good 1080i quality, it is not exactly the full 1080p that we want. There are also many other reasons why HDMI is preferred over component (from the recorder’s point of view); in my case, my PC monitors do not support component input and thus requiring converters to get the output displayed. There are several different types of devices that will help you but here is one of the most readily available one out there.

Most Schools Don’t Teach Programming
This is a short film (documentary) on what most schools don’t teach. Yes, this subject or thing is programing/coding (whichever way you want to call it). I got to learn some programming in my junior college years through my chosen subject of computer science. I absolutely enjoyed the process of every single application that I’ve coded (even the most basic ones). It is even more satisfying to see the application work and come alive. From mere words, or code, into full fledged working applications that perform the task you decide it to.
On the Move Again
It is time to move host again. This time round, the decision to move is not because of any negative experiences. SharkSpace (acquired by eleven2) was a fantastic host for me. It has great support, uptime, amazing servers and brilliant pricing. There is simply nothing wrong with the host and considering the price that I was paying, I couldn’t ask for anything more. Yet I’m on the move again, and let me tell you why. Continue reading
The Urge to Buy
Impulse purchases; how many of you are victims of such a problem? I’m the sort of person that has the mentality of “must buy because it is cheapâ€.  Sad but true. Give me a substantial discount and I’ll throw my money right at you. I’ve made three recent purchases, all on impulse and 2 of them, having looked back, made me face palmed real hard. The third one, which I just purchased today, might just be the deal of the year for me (assuming it works out right). Continue reading
