Today my NPCC (A uniform youth organization for secondary schools in Singapore, National Police Cadet Corps) ATC (Adventure Training Camp) just ended. Feeling really exhausted and tired now. The camp seriously was pretty tough even though there were no drills. Though it was tiring, it sure does have its fun moments. Kayaking was fun and so was the rock wall climbing. Other activities taught us important life skills such as map reading and how to use the compass. Anyways, I will list out the activities in the different days and my thoughts and feelings about them.
Anyone fancy a Ping.sg T-shirt? The one which we will wear proudly proclaiming ourselves as a proud member of this community? The one we would be wearing together when we attend any event as a Ping.sg group? This idea has been surfaced and not taken off a few times since the launch of Ping.sg 1 year ago. One of the main reasons are due to lack of good T-shirt designs that I managed to find. This time, let's get it done! Instead of myself scouting for private designers on my own, which may not even know exactly what Ping.sg about, why don't we do it the community way this time. Ping.sg do have quite a few of good designers among us, aren't we? I say, let's start a Ping.sg T-shirt Design contest! The winning entry will be getting SGD 100 from Ping.sg. It's not a lot, but it is some money I can offer that I have made from Ping.sg (through advertising) minus the costly Singapore hosting fees. Most importantly, you will gain the recognition and respect among Ping.sg's community as the official Ping.sg T-Shirt designer, and you can be proud seeing your design worn by local bloggers. Some requirements: 1. It is a Ping.sg t-shirt, so, yeah the t-shirt has to have Ping.sg's logo. 2. Ping.sg's URL - http://ping.sg. We don't want ourselves to be mistaken for promoting for a golf equipment company. 3. Nothing else. Feel free to be creative. Closing Date: 1st October 2007 Do submit your entry right here at this forum, embedded using BBCode for all of us to see. :) Quoted from here My Designs,
August 2007 A month has gone by so fast. Finished my term 3's examinations and now awaiting the finals. Stressful it is I must say. It is to the level that once it is time to relax, I do not even feel good at all. You know the feeling of me studying, worrying for my next subject and so on. I often feel that way; it is scary as I find myself hard to relax. Putting that aside, SwiftWorld is now officially 2 month old. Started in July, my site/blog has gain a number of hits and visits from people all around the world. Not too impressive but still, I feel good when I saw the improvement in the number of visitors compared to July. August is gone and now waiting for September. It has been a fruitful month; gain quite a lot of experiences through reading through web mastering forums and so on. Asked for opinions and comments on my content and articles and not much complaints and I am really glad of that. Without further ado, let us check the statistics for the month of August, and then followed by some reflecting on my personal life.
If you have been observant enough, you will notice that the banner on top has been changed! I made a new logo and a new title that fits and blends rather well with the template. Well, that is my opinion anyways. What about you guys? Do you think ...
These past few weeks were my examination weeks. Till now, it is still ongoing. In fact, until next Wednesday, I will not be free. Busy, busy busy. Mug, mug and mug. Study, study and more studying. Argh! My brain can not take it anymore! So far results are ...
NDP 07 Celebration Yesterday was the big day. It was the nation’s 42nd birthday and it was a blast. Celebrating in the new stadium at marina bay (the world largest floating stage), the atmosphere was certainly different. I was lucky and had tickets to go watch and celebrate together with the other Singaporeans. As usual, the celebration provided splendid performances and songs. Interesting goodie packs in the start and magnificent fireworks at the end (When I say magnificent is was really world-class!) Laser displays and lightings were something new for this year and it was really well done. The Red Lions again performing their parachuting acts and the SAF displayed a vehicle show (Land unit showed their mobile artilleries, Sea showed their different boats, and lastly Air showed their planes and helicopters mainly the apaches and the Chinook). The goodie bag contained some tidbits, an electric fan, a hat and some drinks. However, the goodie bag was rather special as you can customize it whether is it in design or size. (Its connected by zip and made up of strips of cloth of different colours) With all of that said, I must say that none of that is what made my day there the most enjoyable.
