A Newbie Freelancer and a Nightmare Client
After finishing my conscript army (also known as the National Service in Singapore) and going back into the workforce in September, I had the opportunity to do some freelance work for a friend I knew back in the army. He and his designer friend were going to start an e-commerce website selling products and I’m approached to aid them in this business venture for a cheap price. As a fresh polytechnic graduate in IT, I took up the offer since it would help me build up my portfolio as well as slowly adjust myself to the requirements of the working world.
Things were going well at first with the first meeting with them to capture their business requirements and understand what they wanted. However the first warning sign (of a nightmare client) came when we were discussing the website design. I was told by my friend: “Don’t worry! my partner here is a designer who graduated from the prestigious XYZ. You just need to implement whatever he designs.” I took it upon face value trusting what he said.
That was when my nightmare started. It’s easy to figure out what happens next. Here some snippets of the scenario I faced throughout the project. Continue reading

Really awesome humorous stuff he have there. I was surprised to actually see that he now have a full fledged RPG game released, should be extremely funny as well. Anyways, here it is, the game trailer for his RPG game called: “Mark Leung: Revenge of the Bitch”, read on for the video. Continue reading

iPhone Fragger Game Review
There are many games that follow the formula of the popular Angry Birds: throwing stuff, destroying objects within the support of a physics engine that makes things interesting. Fragger is something like that, but instead of flying birds and exploding pigs, you get to fling dangerous grenades to destroy the enemies. Recently, they have just introduced a free Christmas update, which includes new levels with a Christmas theme overarching them, allowing players to not only enjoy the game even more but also to build up the pre-Christmas hype. Holidays Again! A Month Shorter
The holidays are here again. People start going overseas, start going out, start partying, and start doing all kinds of stuff. Well, not exactly all kinds people but mostly the student population. Yeah, school is out and it is time to go wild! Not as wild as the previous few years though where we got a full 2 month break which is awesome. This time though, holidays barely a month and a half plus the addition of project work and stupid philosophy which means it theoretically should be much shorter. Continue reading
