The PC version better be as good as what the video shows.
Seeing the fascinating screen previews of Fifa 08, watching trailers on Fifa 08’s gameplay and reading and hearing interviews, articles etc on how great Fifa 08 is. Indeed I must say, I am really impressed with the text I read and the visual trailers I watch. It got me really hyped up and made me want to have more, whether is it pictures or trailers, I want them all. However, when the long awaited demo came out recently, my hype went down and I was not impressed but depress. It was disgusting (A strong word but it describes the demo really well)
Expecting too much?
The gameplay neither met my expectations nor improved from the previous version (Fifa 07). The graphics were terrible and gameplay the same, if not worst. Of course you people will say that it is just a demo, things will be different when the real thing comes out. But in this real world, first impressions always matters. People still judge the book by its cover. What can I say? I’m glad that at least EA came out with a FIFA 07 replica demo to try impress or let us say to win over Konami’s fans? For heaven’s sake the demo made me want to play Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer even more.
A month has gone by so fast. Finished my term 3’s examinations and now awaiting the finals. Stressful it is I must say. It is to the level that once it is time to relax, I do not even feel good at all. You know the feeling of me studying, worrying for my next subject and so on. I often feel that way; it is scary as I find myself hard to relax. Putting that aside, SwiftWorld is now officially 2 month old. Started in July, my site/blog has gain a number of hits and visits from people all around the world. Not too impressive but still, I feel good when I saw the improvement in the number of visitors compared to July. August is gone and now waiting for September. It has been a fruitful month; gain quite a lot of experiences through reading through web mastering forums and so on. Asked for opinions and comments on my content and articles and not much complaints and I am really glad of that. Without further ado, let us check the statistics for the month of August, and then followed by some reflecting on my personal life. Continue reading
Planet-Pulse is a site whereby it gives the opportunity for people to take surveys provided and earn money at the same time. I know of many such sites but however I did not venture into any of them. However with the recommendation of one of my friend, and some comments from others in the internet, I found myself entering the site. First impressions are always very important and all I knew was that Planet-Pulse gave me a good one. The site design was simple and nice; colours used were really soothing and pleasing to the eye. In the front page I was also greeted with a flash introduction of Planet-Pulse. Without further delay, I went on to register myself. Registration was pretty fast, (Not too quick as there was a sum of questions asked. Besides this is a survey website, it ought to know its members more) validation mail came within seconds. Validated, and off I go into the member’s panel
If you have been observant enough, you will notice that the banner on top has been changed! I made a new logo and a new title that fits and blends rather well with the template. Well, that is my opinion anyways. What about you guys? Do you think the new logo and banner is worst than before? Or simply more magnificent and beautiful? I would like to hear your comments, if possible.
I know I have not been updating recently. That is due to the heavy workload I am currently getting from school. However, I will try my best to put up at least 1 interesting article per week. I hope you people can understand as I am not a full-time professional blogger, I can not dedicate all my time to just blogging etc, I still have my studies which are more important. The most important final year examinations would be coming in around 5 to 6 weeks time and during that period, I will be extremely busy. However, like I previously said, I will try my best to put up at least 1 interesting article per week so don’t you dare to not come back to my site.
Anyways, that is about it.
These past few weeks were my examination weeks. Till now, it is still ongoing. In fact, until next Wednesday, I will not be free. Busy, busy busy. Mug, mug and mug. Study, study and more studying. Argh! My brain can not take it anymore! So far results are pretty good, received back 4 subjects grades, 3 yet to be returned and 2 examinations about to be taken. Because of this, I lacked the time to update the site with anything interesting.
However, I promise that I will write some great articles after next Wednesday. Some content that I will be putting up will be reviews on multi-service instant messaging applications (MSN, Yahoo, AOL etc all in one application) and comparison on mainly two application that caught my interest (Trillian and Velvet Puffin). Look forward to it
Till then, goodbye. I still have to study for my upcoming history paper on Monday.
NDP 07 Celebration
Yesterday was the big day. It was the nation’s 42nd birthday and it was a blast. Celebrating in the new stadium at marina bay (the world largest floating stage), the atmosphere was certainly different. I was lucky and had tickets to go watch and celebrate together with the other Singaporeans.
As usual, the celebration provided splendid performances and songs. Interesting goodie packs in the start and magnificent fireworks at the end (When I say magnificent is was really world-class!) Laser displays and lightings were something new for this year and it was really well done. The Red Lions again performing their parachuting acts and the SAF displayed a vehicle show (Land unit showed their mobile artilleries, Sea showed their different boats, and lastly Air showed their planes and helicopters mainly the apaches and the Chinook). The goodie bag contained some tidbits, an electric fan, a hat and some drinks. However, the goodie bag was rather special as you can customize it whether is it in design or size. (Its connected by zip and made up of strips of cloth of different colours) With all of that said, I must say that none of that is what made my day there the most enjoyable. Continue reading
